CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT – SAFETY MEASURES

THE HEALTH & SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO US

 WE WANT YOU TO BOOK YOUR STAY WITH PEACE OF MIND

Our normally rigorous cleaning procedures are being enhanced to provide a safe environment for all our guests, we want to reassure them these additional measures – strict cleaning, sanitising & disinfection are necessary to reduce the spread of covid-19.  Once we reopen we expect to operate at 50% less capacity, offering one en-suite double room on the ground floor and two family rooms on the first floor – one en-suite at the front of the house and one with an adjacent walk-in shower room at the rear – both family rooms have a double & twin beds available for 2/3/4 occupancy. This allows adequate two metre social distancing space between the three rooms following Government guidelines.

                                 PROPOSED SAFETY MEASURES

  • Front path/entrance porch/hall/landing marked with 2 metre tape to maintain social distancing
  • Visual signage is displayed in all public areas reminding guests of 2 x metre social distancing, regular hand washing (minimum 20 seconds) & use of hand sanitizers
  • Hand sanitisers (80% alcohol) in all guest rooms
  • Contactless automatic wall hand sanitizer (80% alcohol) in Reception – guests requested to use on arrival & before entering the dining room
  • Only two staff members (the owners) on site at any one time, in personal protective equipment & will have temperature checks taken daily
  •  After each departure our guest bedrooms will be left vacant for a minimum period of 24 hrs in between changeovers & aerated for a minimum of three hours with open windows.  Each room scrupulously cleaned/disinfected.  All bed linen and towels go through a 60 degree wash cycle
  • Choice of cooked breakfast time slot in the dining room (observing the 2 metre distancing)  OR a “carry out” breakfast.  Food choices & breakfast time slots selected by email/text in advance.  All diners requested to remain seated at their tables
  • Self check in keypads – each guest is emailed in advance their room number & a unique four digit number to unlock their individual keypads in the entrance hall on arrival plus laminated information/instruction sheet for each guest room.  
  • Guests are requested to bring their own face masks to wear in public areas
  • No daily housekeeping will be carried out in guest rooms and the guest lounge will be closed
  • During their stay guests can text/phone owner’s mobile number re any requests or information
  • Laminated covid-19 Safety Measures statement is available in reception & will be emailed to all guests prior to arrival
  • Public areas are thoroughly cleaned/disinfected daily concentrating on ALL communal touch points 
  • Contactless online payments taken in advance/any invoicing done electronically 
  • All room keys must be handed in at Reception on departure – £30.00 replacement charge per room
  • If one of our guests shows non-compliance with our policies and the Government directives they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, billing will remain unchanged
  • If one of our guests shows symptoms of the virus which could cause harm to the staff and other guests they will be asked to leave the premises immediately following the current  Government Guidelines
